Privacy at Stichting het Rijnlands Lyceum

Stichting het Rijnlands Lyceum (SRL) attaches great importance to the protection of personal data. We consider it important that parents, students, staff, and other stakeholders know which data we process, why we do so, and how we protect this data. On this page you will find our current privacy statement, contact details for privacy-related questions, and the Data Protection Officer (DPO) of SRL.

Privacy Statement

The privacy statement describes how SRL handles personal data, which rights data subjects have, and how these rights can be exercised. The statement is available in both Dutch and English.

The statement explains which personal data are processed, for what purpose, how long this data is retained, and how security is ensured. It also specifies the rights of data subjects, such as the right of access, rectification, and erasure.

Data Protection Officer

SRL has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO). The DPO independently monitors compliance with privacy legislation within SRL, advises the board, and can be contacted for questions or complaints of a special or complex nature.

Complaints and supervisory authority

If you believe that your question or complaint has not been handled satisfactorily, you may submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). More information can be found on the website of the Dutch DPA: www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Responsibility

Stichting het Rijnlands Lyceum is the data controller and ultimately responsible for the processing of personal data that takes place within the board and its affiliated schools.
