Quality of education
The Rijnlands Lyceum Foundation aims to provide quality, both in education and in all the support activities. That quality is provided by our staff.
Our staff are committed people who make every effort within their range of duties to make ‘Rijnlands’ surpass the norm. The foundation has been successful in attracting motivated, high-quality staff with a passion and enthusiasm for education.
Good staff are essential. But besides that, it is vital to monitor the quality of the whole, the sum of all the individual efforts. This is the responsibility of the principals for the individual schools and of the executive director for the foundation as a whole. The Ministry of Education supervises the quality of education through the Education Inspectorate. The Inspectorate has given the quality and results of the education provided by our schools a positive assessment over the last few years. For the outcomes take a look at: www.onderwijsinspectie.nl
To guarantee the quality in our schools in all its aspects, we use a quality management system with indicators for results and quality. The quality management system contains fixed moments at which account is given internally and externally and at which satisfaction surveys are conducted among students, parents and staff. Performance and appraisal interviews with staff are standardised in the system too. This structured approach to monitoring quality contributes to the further professionalisation of the schools and the organisation.
