Participation
Participation by parents, students and staff is an important condition for good governance. Participation is therefore anchored in the principles of the Rijnlands Lyceum Foundation.
Parent and student participation can take place in a number of ways. Per school parents can be united in a parent council and students in a student council. These councils are an informal, but important platform between the school leadership and the parents and students. Independent of parent and student councils there are the so-called participation councils per school and the joint participation council for the foundation. The rights and obligations for these councils and the board, as the competent authority, have been regulated by law and have been laid down in a number of formal documents.
