Former President of the Dutch House of Representatives, Mr Frans Weisglas, will be the new chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Rijnlands Lyceum Foundation as of 1 September. The vacancy was the result of the death of our chairman Hans Dijkstal in May 2010.
The Supervisory Board is convinced that Mr Weisglas will be a worthy successor of Mr Dijkstal. Mr Weisglas is an alumnus of Rijnlands Wassenaar (graduation 1963), he worked as a diplomat and as a Member of Parliament (VVD). From 2002-2006 he was the President of the House of Representatives. At this moment Mr Weisglas holds positions in a number of supervisory boards in a broad range of organisations. The Rijnlands foundation is proud that Mr Weisglas has accepted the chairmanship of our Supervisory Board.
